Ya esta por salir el press release de nuestro team que se ha juntado con Javier's Gulf Coast Crawl Shop (Dave Gutwillig, Javier y Marcus Ibarra) para correr esta carrera del King of the Hammers 2011.

El vehiculo que estabamos armando para este KOH era un Jeep Speed Class 3700/Ultra 4, con estos specs:
Chasis por Kevin Hunt y Ponce, Engine - 4.0 with Stroker Kit, Front Axle - Ford high pinion Dana 60 with 4.10 gears, Detroit locker, 35 spline Chromoly outers, warn locking hubs, Rear Axle - GM 14 bolt - welded with 4:10 gears, Front suspension - 3 link with Johnny Joints, coilovers and bumpstops Rear suspension - 3 link rear with Johnny Joints, coilovers and 4 FOA bumpstops Transfer - Dana 300 with twin sticks for lowmax 4 to 1 crawl ratio, 32 spline rear output Tranny - AW4 with extra AW Shifter control Steering - Hydraulic assist Brakes - 4 wheel disc brakes Tires and wheels – 37 BFG KRT's on Allied beadlock wheels, Wheelbase 113", FOA Bypass Racing Shocks and 2.5 Rear Coil Overs con Resevoir, Being prepped with FIA gear to pass Ultra 4 tech and race in Jeep Speed 3700 and Ultra 4 Class Esperamos terminar el vehiculo para verano y participar en el Ultra 4 Series y Best in the Desert, y Texas EDR Series.

Dave Gutwillig y el Javier's GCCS crew estan trabajando muy duro como pueden ver en las siguiente fotos en los ultimos detalles para tener el vehiculo listo para escrutinio y correr duro 120 millas de desierto y rock racing. Este buggy se esta terminando a las especificaciones de ULTRA 4 Racing, para poder correr en el King of the Hammers, Ultra 4 Series, Best in the Desert, Texas EDR Series, y Baja 500 y 1000. Los specs de este GCCS buggy son Chassis Builder – Javier’s Gulf Coast Crawl Shop, Engine – 5.7 Chevy Vortec, Transmission – Turbo 350, Transfer Case – Atlas, Front Axle and Locker – Spider 9 inch with 4:56 gears , Rear Axle and Locker – Ford 9” with 4:56 gears, Wheels – American Racing with Stuan Beadlocks, Tires – 37" Goodyear MTR, Shocks – Custom Swayaway Bypass and Coilovers, Ultra 4 series safety specs. Este es el buggy que se va usar para esta carrera del King of the Hammers 2011.

Javier's Gulf Coast Crawl Shop and Chief Fabricator Dave Gutwillig are working double overtime to finish prepping the new super burro for this 120 mile desert rock race. Ponce and Gutwillig will be combining rally and rock crawling/racing strategies to survive and finish. Money and time is not on our side, but thanx to all of our proud and generous sponsors, everything is coming along well :diablito:
